I often hear from people that they cannot do yoga because they are not flexible enough.
But being flexible is really the art of being open and available.
Open and available to what is current and present.
    It’s an inside job, this… space… making.
We can start with the body but remember what the great yoga guides have shown us…
    The body is a metaphor.
And I am no expert, but I suspect… there is a lot to balance and uncover.
This week we meditate on flexibility as conscious openness.
    Booyah. Enjoy!

I've been cycling through this video, neck and shoulder video and phone/computer neck video over the last two weeks. Every morning getting up a little early and working through. I've definitely found my torso to arm length makes some poses difficult, but working through none the less and absolutely loving it. The breathing exercises are helping through the day and I trust with time I will gain a more supported back and neck. Thank you for your wonderful videos and your very approachable video style.

Adrienne, I am not very flexible but would like to be. I've gone through your foundations videos and I find myself rounding my back during forward folds and downward dog. What are tips in order to build flexibility and correctly do the poses without rounding my back?

I don't know if anybody feels the same, but on some days I feel like I don't have the strength to be happy. I recognize how lucky I am to be alive and I am deeply grateful for everything I have, but I can't feel excited about it 24/7. It takes too much strength sometimes.
Now I am deeply content that I did this practice, so even though I wasn't "productive" today, I did something that was good for my body and soul.
I wish everyone a good day!
Maybe being flexible is also about accepting when we are not happy.

Hi Andriene, congrats on the shout out from Oprah in the November, 2018 issue. Your routines are wonderful and doable, even for this 66-year-old woman, who hasn’t done yoga previously. I have done pilates for years and some yoga has been infused into other workouts, of course.

What a wonderful way to stretch the mind and body. Love your practices. You have changed the way I feel about yoga! I have always loved yoga, but you have given me a different mindset towards how I move through my poses through breath work, mindfulness, grace and self-love. Thank you. Namaste xo

I used to be a HIIT and heavy weights kind of lady. Since my Crohn's diagnosis, my energy levels have fluctuated so hard. Due to different surgeries and procedures, I've had restrictions and restrictions placed upon me. I was never a yoga person. Ever. Your videos are the only yoga videos I can bring myself to do because I actually enjoy you as a teacher. The videos are short enough that they don't take a chunk of my day away, yet enough that I can get a good workout in. Don't stop posting, please!

I love your videos! They have helped me to stop and take time to let go of stress and as you said in this video, let go, surrender and realize that we are not and cannot be in control of everything. Surrender is so is important, and for me as a Christian, I take this time to surrender to God and give Him my struggles. I feel so much better after taking care of body and spirit! God bless!
