I lost 70 pounds in 8 months. Went from Xxxl to a medium. 8 inches off my waist. I thought I would feel pretty if I lost weight. I didn't. I still don't.

Started keto about 5 weeks ago. Down 15 lbs already and that's without going to the gym once. I used to be a gym rat when I played sports. I think that's actually how I gained 140 lbs after college. I played every sport imaginable from 5 years old in t-ball to 21 in college with football and baseball. Weighed between 180 and 210 depending on the time of year and was super muscular. Stopped sports and the gym altogether and got up to 320 🙁 I'm 275 now after losing 30 lbs a year ago. Gonna get back to that 180 I was back 8 years ago

I've been on track for getting my weight down. Over the past 3-4 months I've lost 15 lbs. Started at 180, down to 165 🙂 about 5 lbs from my original goal to not be in the 'overweight' range. I still eat a lot of foods I love, desserts, chinese, etc. What's worked for me is just being super conscious of how MUCH I'm putting in. If I want more in, I make sure to do a good workout/run to balance the extra. It's not super fast, but it's something I can stick to because I can eat some of what I want, and it makes it that much easier.

One tip I've learned from my own journey is to just start. Starting can be the hardest part. Also, give your self some grace when you fail. Accept the failure and learn what you can do better. 🙂

I never thought I was invincible or had that so called young fearlessness. I never drank or smoked or did any other drugs and I still got fat. Probably would've been skinnier had I access to those kinds of drugs.
No one ever came up to me and said, "hey, want to do some drugs". I still dont know where I'd even begin to find drugs.
He is right though, if you pick something that works for your lifestyle it's easier to keep going.
