Hi, Lesley–I enjoy your classes a lot, but find I have trouble keeping up with the quick chaturanga sequences (like those in the last third of this class). Any advice for that? Should I skip some parts of the sequence or just slow it down?

My Intention for todays practice was to feel my Body and every movement. Maybe also because of that, this was the very first practice in the 90 days that I pushed pause to take a break in childs pose in the sun salutation B. I wanted to do the repetitions right and felt that my Body needed a short rest. After the break I did all three repetitions and it felt so good. I remember that in the first sessions I could not even manage one double chaturanga.
Also the advice in the end is so important and I will try to remember every time I treat myself badly. Thank you, Lesley!

Wow, this one was tricky! It had me wanting to give up so much – especially when it came to the inner thigh part and we never seemed to stop going up and down when I wanted to cave in. But I held on, and finished this HIIT. And actually, even though it was high intensity, not only did I feel my blood rate going faster, I still felt that satisfaction I feel after stretching out my hips, back, and shoulders with yoga. All the same, with a bit more of a burn in my thighs and arms. I loved this HIIT!

I found out this morning that my best friend lost her mother to cancer. My intention today was to find ways to send love her way. This is especially hard since this is taking place right at the end of her senior year before prom and graduation and all the tings you're supposed to have a mother for. If anyone else could help send some positive energy her way, I'm sure it would help. Namaste <3

Did day 47 and 48 back to back (as It looks you did!). Great way to start a Saturday. My intention was to maintain mindful meditation throughout and when my mind began to wander to "simply begin again". Taking inspiration from the 10% Happier Guided meditations on that one.

I'm finding that with most of the HIIT classes, the stretching portion feels rushed and short. I'm adding an extra 5-10 min of stretching at the end either before or after shavasana. The only intention that has popped into my head recently is, simply, "Enjoy".

My recurring intention is “to be present on the mat”…after 6 months of daily yoga, it’s still a struggle…my mind wanders so much that if you don’t remind us to come back to our intention, I forget….I’m hoping this will get easier too someday, as I have seen great improvement in flexibility…I have ADD and PTSD, so that makes it harder for me… P.S. I almost wrote something negative about myself (which I used to think regularly) but then I thought about what you said about not saying anything to myself that I wouldn’t to my best friend, and I deleted it….so I guess that IS improvement! Thank you, Lesley for all you do!

Normally my intention is quite simple: "stay focused, stay present" (my mind tends to wander all the time) … but I've had a tough week, with lots of mental and physical activity, and I was already kind of exhausted before the practice, so now I changed to "be strong, and enjoy!". And I did, thank you 🙂

I do the same intention each and every practice; "I will be kind and loving to my body." This is especially important for me as I'm in recovery from an eating disorder and yoga has helped me get back in touch with my body in a different, more loving way and always me to nourish myself body mind and soul <3 thank you Lesley, wonderful and perfect class as always, just what I needed! Today's intention was to be present and prayerful throughout my practice. I'm often surprised at how much work it is to keep the intention on any given day. I know it's part of the practice, but somehow I expected that part to be easier. I'd never thought of yoga as mentally challenging as well as physically challenging. It feels good, though!

Day 48- These days I have to pick some nuts and fruits from a little orchard we cultivate, and I see that I can lengthen and reach them more easily than before I start doing yoga. I'm just so happy that practicing has an effect in every- day's tasks!  Thank you so much!
